About the NZ Golf Guide
The New Zealand Golf Guide provides course and
contact details for the approximate 400 golf clubs affiliated to the NZ
Golf Association. Of these, 260 are considered "participating
clubs" because they offer discounted green fees and/or
other special deals to Golf Guide holders. Details of non-participating
clubs are not included on this site. While not offering discounts,
many non-participating clubs have green fees of $5.00 or less and
are well worth a visit.
Buyer Benefits
- The Golf Guide is a directory of New
Zealand golf courses. It gives course and contact details for the approximate 400 golf clubs affiliated to the NZ Golf Association.
- For the 260 participating clubs it details course ratings, green fees, club days and times, clubhouse facilities and opening hours, pro shops, practice facilities and a course description - usually with helpful location directions for visitors.
- The Golf Guide offers green fee discounts of up to 50% at participating clubs. Book buyers with the time (and the stamina!) could save over $1500.00 in green fees if they played all the courses in the Golf Guide.
- The Golf Guide offers discounts at flagged Pro shops, - and for travellers, discounts are also available at quality advertised accommodation.
- Buyers of the book can enter lucky draws for prizes such as golf equipment, rounds of golf or overnight stay and play vouchers at renowned New Zealand golf courses and resorts.
- Contact details are provided for golf professionals – available for coaching and technical support.
- Contact details are provided for driving ranges throughout New Zealand.
- The Index indicates which golf clubs offer facilities to golfers with campervans or caravans.

Club Benefits
- Participating golf clubs gain revenue from additional green fee players on the course and in the clubrooms or pro shop.
- Many non-affiliated players have joined golf
clubs as a direct result of using the Guide and increasing their
desire to play the game.
- Participating clubs that sell the Guide receive benefit from sales revenue.

How the Guide
Works
Each player needs their own copy of the Golf
Guide. Golf Guide holders present their book when claiming the green
fee discount at a participating club. The club signs and dates the
relevant section in the book to indicate the discount has been claimed.
The book may be used once only at each participating club. There
is no limit to the number of times discounts may be claimed at participating
Golf Shops and Accommodation Providers.
Note that a handful of clubs featured in the Guide
do not allow golfers who are not affiliated to the NZ Golf Association
(i.e. members of NZ golf clubs) to play their courses. Others have
higher green fee rates for non-affiliates. For New Zealand golfers
the simple solution is to join a club.
Overseas players who are intending to play a lot
of golf in New Zealand may like to investigate a short term membership
at one of our participating clubs. See our Summer membership page and contact the club directly or contact us if you prefer assistance
Each edition of the Golf Guide is valid for 12
months, from 1 October to 30 September of the following year.
